Stop the Hate - Start the Healing
is a community group sponsored by the Stop the Hate Committee of the
West Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy in Charleston, WV

The purpose of the STH Committee is to reduce hate crimes in West Virginia
by promote respect and collaboration among different groups.

Our main event is the annual Stop the Hate - Start the Healing Vigil.
The event is usually held on the second or third Thursday in October at 5pm, at the Pavilion at Davis Park off of Summers Street between Quarrier and Lee.

We are gathering stories of kindness, respect, and healing, as well as descriptions of personal commitments and acts of kindness from individuals across group lines. If you would like to share a story of healing, or a story where you or someone you know stood up to a mean or hateful act.

We also have a rapid response email group, so that people can be informed of group activities that stand up against hate crimes when/if they occur in our area.
If you would like to join our rapid response email group, please click here.
