As a Pastoral Counseling Center, we are seeking applicants for clinical positions who have high clinical competence and are no stranger to their own inner life. This may include a sense of seasoning and growth through dealing with difficult life experiences, as well as how one’s own sense of the bigger picture of life may have been a resource in that growth.

A second strength would be the applicant demonstrating an awareness of and ability to think, speak, and write from a culturally sensitive multi-faith perspective, and to work as a part of a diverse team of colleagues.

A third strength would be proven capacity to build a case-load, be effective with clients, and develop new programs.

Strongest credentials include:

  • Pastoral / Spiritual identity formation
  • Clinical membership in AAPC or AAMFT
  • Licensure as an WV-MFT or WV-LICSW
  • Designation as a Supervisor
  • Ordination or formal theological training

The therapists’ work will be supported by a wide array of other staff, including peer and administrative support. Paid training opportunities are available.
