I currently reside in Morgantown, WV. Telehealth has given me the opportunity to work for KPCC and with Clients from all over the state. Advancements in telehealth allow clients to participate in therapy conveniently from their own homes and on the go. I serve individuals 13 and up.
I am a multi passionate counselor and naturalist who believes in the power of connection. My passion for travel and broad life experiences have strengthened my love of human diversity. I am a proponent of community development and an advocate for mental health. My intention is to foster a sense of empowerment during every session.
I am especially interested in the treatment of ADHD. My own experience with neurodiversity motivated me to embrace the nature of this complex condition and develop it into a strength. As a certified ADHD Professional (ADHD-CCSP), I understand the importance of a multifaceted approach to treatment planning.
I have always found nature to be a place of peace, clarity, and connectedness. Everything is connected and our mental health is not an exception. Time in nature is restorative for our spiritual, physical, and mental health. As a result, I became a certified Ecotherapist. Ecotherapy reconnects us to and expands our experience to the natural world around us. Connectedness to nature reduces depression and anxiety as well as improves focus.
Healing through counseling is not a one size fits all process. I have over a decade of varied counseling experiences. My approach is eclectic and incorporates various evidenced-based approaches including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. My enthusiasm for learning motivates me to continuously learn and incorporate new counseling modalities into my practice.
