No one is immune from pain, loss and struggles in life. During these difficult times we can discover that our coping skills, patterns of thought and communication skills are no longer effective to move us towards healing and peace. Our inability to cope with life’s challenges becomes more apparent when unhealthy patterns become our way of coping.  Are you living in isolation, fear, grasping for control that seems to elude you, strained relationships, anxiety, anger, addiction, grief or depression? It takes courage to reach out for help, especially when we feel stuck and are afraid of being judged, and taking this step can lead to freedom and healing.

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is research based and proven to have great results with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma resulting from any number of experiences to include:  bullying; abandonment; divorce; neglect; emotional, verbal, sexual and/or physical abuse.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used with adolescent and adult clients who find themselves stuck in detrimental patterns of thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviors.

The research based marriage therapy approach by John Gottman is used for marriage and couples counseling.  This approach helps couples to have better conversations even over issues that are unresolvable. Many of these techniques are also beneficial in family counseling to strengthen communication with parents and children.

It is my privilege to work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I am a Christian therapist who respects the faiths and personal values of all.
